NHS professionals across Teesside have joined forces to host information sessions across Teesside for Learning Disability Week.
The events will provide local people with learning disabilities, or those caring for or supporting someone with a learning disability, the opportunity to find out more about local support and services.
The event in Stockton is on Friday 21 June, Stockton Central Library, 10.30am – 12.30pm
Social Prescribers from local GP practices, Health and Wellbeing coaches and the Learning Disability Enhanced Physical Health Care Team from Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust will be on hand at the events to answer questions.
There’ll also be the opportunity to find out more about learning disability annual health checks, reasonable adjustments for people with learning disabilities, health / hospital passports, as well as information and sessions about cancer awareness and staying safe in the sun.
Various activities and performances from local groups will also take place at each venue.
